Reducing costs, saving time, lowering stress, addressing new markets. All with a measurable return on investment.
Everything starts with a coffee and a chat. Often, it’s apparent that we’re not a good fit together. That’s fine, it happens. Finding the right people to work alongside your business is a tricky thing and you want to choose well. So do we.
But if we both think we can work together, the next step is a Process Review and Action Plan. This is a paid engagement where I spend some time talking with you and your staff and get a true understanding of what tomorrow should look like. We all want a brighter tomorrow, right? And once we know where we want to go, I’ll build a plan that takes us there.
Of course, a plan is no use on its own.
But the plan I create is detailed enough that you can take it to your favourite technologist and they can implement it for you. If you’re nervous about this we can oversee it for you, to make sure they stay on the right tracks (I’m great at translating from geek to english and back again) – normally that’s a couple of days per month at our day rate – but that’s entirely up to you.

EchoDek is my company. I made the foolish mistake of naming it after an obscure album by my favourite band, so when you search for it, you get a load of stuff totally unrelated to what I do. However, when it comes to SEO and keyword research, I always get outside help 😇 so that will never happen to you.
EchoDek is dedicated to providing an improvement to our clients’ businesses. We do this by understanding where they want to be and then work backwards to figure out how to get there. No using technology for its own sake, no riding the hype machine. A plan made because it moves you forward, with enough room to change direction as needed. Outcomes that we are proud to talk about. Businesses that work better after we have been involved. Clients that want us to stick around.
EchoDek invests in its staff. We use remote workers, not because it’s cheaper, but because we want people who understand what the company is about, no matter where they are. And then I work really hard with each and every one of them, to make sure that they are constantly improving. Mentoring and coaching, weekly education slots and a focus on their well-being, so that they can become the best they can be.
EchoDek believes in changing the world. One step at a time. We’re not quite there yet, but we’re putting an apprenticeship scheme in place; so young people in Leeds can train to become amazing technologists. I believe there’s a serious issue with women in technology so we will be taking active steps to redress the balance. I’ll be honest; I’m not sure how I’m going to do that yet, but it needs to be done.
