About the Apple Watch

Being the sad Apple fan that I am, I bought an Apple Watch when it first came out.

And, to be honest, I was really disappointed.

Firstly, it didn’t look much like a watch. It looked nice, but not like a watch.

Secondly, the screen didn’t stay on. What’s the point in that?

Thirdly, I found it fiddly and difficult to use. Which is very un-Apple.

So I sold it. I bought a Pebble Round (which looks like a normal watch but is actually a smart-watch). And then when Pebble died, I bought a Withings, which is basically a fitness tracker that looks like a watch.

But now I’m back on an Apple Watch.

The third point has been dealt with – they’re revamped how it works, so it all makes much more sense.

The second point still stands. It really bugs me. I understand it’s because of battery life – but I can’t wait till it can stay on.

The first point still stands too. But this time I bought a stainless steel one, not an aluminium one. So it looks much better than my first one.

The key difference though, is now I know what it’s for. The fitness stuff is great (and works really well). But I realised, the Apple Watch is a replacement for the iPod. It’s a fantastic music player, just sat on your wrist.
